The Demons I Face (Cont)

Hey Guys! I Continued This Story sooo...Yeah!

“The Demons I Face.”
She woke up to the smell of Lucas’s cologne. So, He HAD snuck into bed after she fell asleep. She smiled groggily, Sitting up and kissing his cheek.
“Morning Babe…”
He smiled, Barely opening up his eyes and running a hand over his eyes and through his disheveled blonde hair. Oh, she loved seeing Lucas in the morning, before she went to training.  She sighed, sliding over to the edge of her mattress that smelled of aged sweat. It wasn’t really her fault, she was plagued by nightmares, and many a night she woke up, drenched in her own sweat, sometimes, she had tears streaming down her cheeks from the dreadful visions. She had been meaning to buy a new bed to replace the foul smelling one that she was forced to sleep in (and occasionally, Lucas), but she hasn’t had the time to in between training sessions. She stood up, her blonde hair falling around the slender frame of her upper body, and the loose gray gown that she had worn to bed many nights slightly shifting. She slid over to the small closet that held all of her clothing.
She paused when she reached for the closet door, because she dreaded getting dressed. She was fine in the black old dress she wore to bed! But, she had to wear something at least with pants For Training. But she opened it up, looking inside.   “Today i’ll wear….Hnnn…”
After a few minutes of thought, she pulled out a pair of her dark-wash jeans, and borrowed one of Lucas’s band T-shirts. As she walked past the slightly damp mattress, she stopped momentarily and planted a kiss On The Boy’s Head Whom Was Lying In The Bed, Dressed In A Tank Top And PJ Pants.   “See You Downstairs, Lucas.”
She Walked Out Into The Hallway That Was Now Lit Up From The Morning Light, Streaming In From The Windows. As She Walked Down The Dark Carpet She Paused in front of a mirror. Her dirty blonde hair was slightly tangled, She had dark circles under her eyes, But yet, her skin somehow always remained flawless. Her clothing didn’t seem much better then her hair. The borrowed T-shirt hung down to her knees and the jeans seemed somewhere in between too worn to wear and just slightly too big from the start. Finally reaching the stairs, she slipped on the rail and slid down. She didn’t feel like walking down the stairs today, so she just rode down apon the wooded rail. When she reached the bottom of the rail, she stopped quickly and slid down unto the last step, barely spending a moment on it and stepping down onto the hardwood floor.
She slipped over to the kitchen, turning on the light. There on the counter were her cooking supplies she had so lovingly placed there the night before. She was once again, going to make breakfast for the one she held so close to her heart.
She heard footsteps on the steps as she put the first dob of pancake mix onto the pan. Lucas was up and moving. He appeared in the kitchen door, smiling as he always was in the morning.
“Good morning, Misty my love” His voice was loving and happy as usual, and she melted when he spoke those words. Every single time. Every single morning. Lucas was her world. Her everything…If he died, she would fall over and die right then and there.
The morning proceeded on, them both sitting down and eating.  After breakfast, she had to leave for training. “I’m sorry Lucas…I really gotta go..”
She ran past the couch, grabbing her messenger bag and slipping out the door. She didn’t want to admit it, but she actually looked forward to leaving for training every day. It’s not that she hated Lucas or wanted to get away from him, she just loved to train and fight, ‘twas her nature! People sometimes swore that her fighting was what let her keep her cool. She never agreed, yet never rejected either. Just walked away and kept going.
Now, when she arrived at the studio where she trained, she found her older brother, the blonde boy whom shared her eyes, the older sibling with the same athletic slender build. Lux Kam Miller.
“HELLO SISSSSSS!!!” He waved his tanned arms. He did this simply to pester her with his sibling love. Lux Held out a bag “You forgot to get cleaned up, Mi Mi!” Another thing to mention, Her brother had dozens of nicknames for her.
“Oh! I did forget to get cleaned up!” She took the bag quickly, and looked inside. A bar of soap, a towel, and a scrub “Thank you, Luxor.” In turn of his nicknames for her, she had a couple for him.
“No problem!” his voice wasn’t as enthusiastic as before, she could tell he was slightly annoyed.  “You should probably get going to training. Zed isn’t going to wait forever.”
“Ah! I should, shouldn’t I? Goodbye, Luxious.” She smirked, She loved to annoy him with nicknames. But, before she could run off into the studio, he yelled his farewell at her “Goodbye, Misty Lucius Miller!”   She frowned, slapping her brother playfully before running off into the studio to meet with her trainer.
“Misty! You’re Late!” Her Trainer, Zed Redrum. He had a slender frame, like his student that he had been training for these two years, and he didn’t differ in age to Misty. “You look a mess, Misty dear.” He Was Right. Her hair was slightly matted and her face was rather oily for that morning “I know I and I apologize, Zeddy-san.” She bowed, her trainer chuckling. “You are forgiven, Misty-chan, as always. Now, shall we start training?”
She Laughed, Smirking. “Yes Please, Master Zed.” And Training Began.   ( END OF
CHARCHTER SKETCH)
( Beginning Of Cont. Story)
A Slash Of Pain Was Lashed Across Her Cheek. She Fell To The Ground, The Willow Wood Sword Knocking The Breath Out Of Her. She Looked Up To The Male, Gasping For Air And A Small Stream Of Blood Running Down From Her Nose.
“Ahahah…Y-You Seem To B-Beat Me…But That’s Where Your Truth Falters!”
She Jumped Up, Growling Loudly As She Brought Her Hand Up, Slapping Him Hard Across The Cheek. Zed Backed Up Slightly, Putting A Hand On His Cheek. He Was In Surprise
“Wha….”
His Eyes Became Wide With Adrenaline, Putting The Sword In Her Gut, Knocking The Breath Out Of Her. She Fell Backwards, Landing With A Hard Thunk On The Ground. The Spar Had Ended.
Zed Knelt Down, Reaching His Hand Out To The Bleeding Misty That Sat There, On Her Butt.
“It’s Okay…!”
His Smile Was Reassuring, And Misty Took His Hand, Zed Helping Her Up
“Soooooooo…” Zed Said, His Eyes On The Ground “Don’t You Have Friends To Meet For Lunch?” Misty Looked Over At Him, Wiping The Blood From Her Nose
“Uhm…Yeah, I Do…”
She Nodded, Smiling “I’ll See You Tomorrow For Training”
She Nodded Once More, Laughing Nervously And Running Off. Time For Lunch With Her Brother, Friend And Possibly Her Brother’s Significant Other.

She Arrived At The Small Ramen Shop Where She Ate Every Day With Lux, Lulu, (Lulu Is Her Girlish Dude Friend) And Possibly Her Brother’s Girlfriend, Riku. The Shop Was Fairly New, The Windows Remained Spotless And Tinted The Same Honey Yellow, The Shop’s Roof Remained Spotless And Un Torn, The Steady, Delicious Of Smell Wafting From A Open Back Door. She Walked Inside, The Warmth Slapping Her Across The Face As Zed’s Blow With The Willow Wood Stick Did.
“Hello, Mistay-Chan!”  A Older Woman At The Desk Smiled And Waved. Her Hair Was Gray, Her Skin A Cocoa Brown With Freckles, A Pair Of Triangle Frames At Her Nose
“Hello, Misao-Chan!” Misty Smiled And Waved Back, Trying Not To Be Frustrated. Misao Always Said Her Name Like “Mistay” Instead Of “Misty”. It Drove Her Crazy. Misty Looked Around The Restaurant. Ah. So Her Table Wasn’t Taken. Misty Walked Over To The Wooden Table, The Same Four, Plain Chairs Sitting Around It. She Took The One Farthest From The Door.

A Few Moments Later, She Felt A Bump, And A Moan Came Out From Under The Table. It Was Lulu.
“Ahhhghhh...” Lulu Slid Back Up Into The Chair Next To Hers. “ I Dropped All My Books...Then You Showed Up...Then...Agh..” Lulu Rubbed The Back Of His Head. Misty Thought She Could Already See The Bump Rising.
“Shhhhh...Be More Careful, Okay?” Misty Smiled At Him As Lux Walked In The Door. But He Wasn’t Alone. And It Wasn’t Riku Who Was Walking Beside Him.
“Misty!!” Zed Exclaimed, Sitting Down In The Other Chair Beside Her. His Chocolate Brown Was Dull, Neatly Kept Up In A Small Ponytail. His Green Eyes Shimmered, His Cheeks Red As A Summer Rose.
“Are You Okay? I Was Worried If I Hurt You!!” Zed Put His Hand On Misty’s Cheek. It Felt Cold Against Her Oddly Warm Skin, And It Was Rough With Calluses From The Constant Training.
“I’m Fine I’m Fine I Swear!” She Gently Moved His Cold Hand From Her Face, Wishing The Probing Cold Would Vanish. As She Moved His Hand, His Face Went Even Redder. He Was Being Upset.
“Oh! You Can Never Forgive Me! I’m So Sorry!” He Turned His Body And Sobbed Dramatically. Obviously Fake. A Few Moments Later, He Turned His Head Back To Her. “H’mpht...” And There We Go...Back To Dramatic, Moody Zed.
“You’re Such A Weak Heart, Misty. You Need To Harden Up.” Zed Was Always Hard On Misty. He Didn’t Mean To Hurt Her Feelings, Nor Her. Misty’s Parents Both Died When She Was Fairly Young, So She Lacked In Pure Hard Discipline.
A Few Summers That Didn’t Seem So Long Ago, Misty Was With Her Father. Her Brother Had Left To Join Some Noble Cause That Would Never Happen. Her Father, Aaron, Was Quite Sweet To Her. He Felt Pity Towards His Daughter, Because For One Her Brother’s An Ass, And Her Mother Had Died when She Was Born.  So, Aaron Took Care Of His Daughter Alone, And Was Often Soft On His Only Child.

As She Was Shot Back Into Reality, She Realized That She Had Now Had A Bowl Of Ramen In Front Of Her, The Steamy Fumes Blowing Up Into Her Face. Lux Had Been Quiet The Whole Evening, Quietly Eating His Own Bowl. Zed Was Staring At Her With Judgemental Eyes And Lulu Was Head-First In A New Yaoi Book.
“Uh...S-Sorry...Lux, Zed, Lulu, I Will Be Taking My Leave.” Misty Didn’t Want To Be There Anymore, Under Zed’s Burning gaze.
“Wait!!” Lulu Exclaimed, Holding Up Two Or Three Mangas To Her. He Loved To Load Her Up With Them. He Personally Wanted To Make Her An Otaku By The End Of THe Year. Misty Smiled, Taking The Books
“Ah...Thanks.”
She Quickly Put Them In Her Bag, Then Quickly Left The Restaurant. Again, Zed’s Burning, Probing Gaze Haunted Her Mercilessly All The Way Home. When She Arrived, She Tossed Her Bag On The Couch. Lucas Wasn’t Home By Then And She Had No Intention Of Going Back To Training. She Sighed, Laying Down On The Other Matching Couch In The Living Room, Staring At The Ceiling. A  Few Minutes Later,  The Face Of Her Brother Popped Out In Front Of Her. He Had A Devious Smile On His Face, His Hair Fell Over His Face, Hiding Most Of His Features.
“Heeeyyyyyy…”  His Tone Was Casual, And It Was Obvious He Had Something Up His Sleeve.
“What Do You Want Lux?!” Misty Was Not In A Good Mood. She Was Annoyed And Her Voice Was Harsh And Slightly Intimidating.
“Nothing…” Lux Frowned, Taking Whatever He Had Behind His Back. It Was A Box Of Band Aids. “You Looked Pretty Beat Up…” Misty’s Eyes Instantly Watered Up, Sitting Up On The Couch And Allowing Her Brother To Put Them On Her Face. They Were The Hello Kitty Kind. After Lux Had Carefully Applied The Bandages, He Sighed As He Hugged Her.
“Love Ya Sis...You’re My Best Friend, I Wouldn’t Let You Unattended With All Those Cuts…” He Was Obviously Crying. He Was Trying Not To Alarm Her, So Her Tears Remained Silent But The Vibrations Still Shook The Smile From Her Face. After A Few Minutes Of Silent Meaningful Hugs, Lux Left The Room And Misty Was Alone Again. She Kept Glancing Around The Room, Then Eventually Picked Up A Small Pencil And Paper, Scratching Down A Small Poem:

Death
A Whisper In The Wind
Like Love
Or Frendship
Or Hate.
You Never Know When They’re Coming
But When They Come
And Leave
They Leave A Scar
FOREVER.

Nothing Is Ever The Same
Nothing Ever Comes Good Of I-

Misty Stopped. She Didn’t Feel This Way, Did She?
She Couldn’t, Could She..?
